FAQs:

1) Is Botox a harmful substance “toxic”?

Botox was first used on humans in 1980 for the treatment of “crossing eyes” and it has become FDA approved for treatment of wrinkles since 2002. More than one million first-time Botox treatments take place on annual basis. The dose injected for cosmetic purposes is 1/100 that of the harmful dose.

2) When should I start Botox injection ? At what age ?

“The Earlier the Better“
Botox injection should be done once it is needed regardless of age as recent studies suggest that women who undergo Botox treatment in their late 20s develop fewer wrinkles than women who age naturally.

3) Should I stay home after Botox injection?

Most patients can immediately resume normal activities; however, there may be some unsightly swelling, bleeding, bruising or redness at the injection site, which usually lasts only for a few hours.

FAQs:

1) Will I look older when the effect of the filler is gone?

Studies have shown that filler injection stimulates collagen laydown.  After the effect is gone you will still look better than before injection. Each time you inject filler you will look younger and younger.

2) How long does it last?

Typically, the filler effect lasts for 6-18 months. However, it depends on the area being treated, the type of filler used for injection, and your body's reaction to the filler;  all of which determine how long a Filler treatment lasts until the body absorbs the filler and then the skin returns to its pre-treatment state.

3) What do I expect after a filler treatment?

After a filler injection, you can expect some pain, redness, bruises, swelling, and possibly itching; the swelling may last up to 36 hours.

FAQs:

1) How long should I stay away from the sun after treatment?

Fractional laser is characterized by its short down time. Minimal facial redness is expected on the day of the session, and then fine peeling is expected on the subsequent 2 days. Full recovery takes place in 5 days. However, the downtime might be as short as 1 day for light peels.

2) How many sessions will I need to treat my post acne scars?

Around 4 to 5 sessions that are 4 to 6 weeks apart.

FAQs:

1) Is laser hair removal a single treatment session?

No, about 6 to 8 sessions are needed where each session is done every 4 to 6 weeks.  
It is preferred not to remove hair by epilation one month before the first session as well as in between the following successive sessions.

2) Will all my hair totally disappear?

Laser was FDA approved for permanent hair reduction, after an entire treatment, you can expect 80 to 90 percent of unwanted hair will disappear leaving about 10 to 20 percent of slowly growing fine hair.

3) Can laser cause skin cancer ?

NO!!!.....More than 8 million women receive laser hair removal sessions per year and not a single case has reported skin cancer. It is worth mentioning that laser is a non-ionized light; therefore, it cannot induce skin cancer.

4) Can laser be used for “white” hair removal ?

Unfortunately, Laser cannot “see” the white hair in order to hit it; therefore, white hairs will never be removed by lasers.

5) What is the cost and duration of the laser hair removal session?

Minigrafting

Vitiligo is a common skin disease characterized by loss of skin pigment which leads to its whitening. Its treatment depends on topical creams, exposure to ultraviolet rays (PUVA or NB- UVB), and using Excimer laser to stimulate skin re-pigmentation  and  minigrafting.

Minigrafting is used for resistant yet stable cases (with lesions that are fixed in size and number for at least 6 months). All treatments achieve a success rate of 75%.

Minigrafting in most cases will be combined with exposure of ultraviolet rays for 4 months in order to achieve the best results.
